Catchin' Up

Where has the time gone? Life was going along at the average Williams' pace and then Ryan left for his mission and we shifted into high gear. The celebration, then Kory's call and November came before we were ready. Christmas...New Year...and January is a week from being over. You know how you get when you are going a little too fast and you take your foot off the accelerator and you coast for just a little while and your speed begins to slow...I took my foot off and it was like we hit the slope coming down from La Manga Pass coming into HORCA. There was no decrease; just keeps speeding up.
November, I'm not even sure we had a November. I do remember having birthday cake and then leaving for Provo.

Dad and Kory walking into the MTC. Daddy and daughter...made mom cry.

Kory...always a ham.

Three of our beautiful blondes.

Our Thanksgiving Dinner was the smallest ever.
We didn't even have to put the extension in the table.

Christmas was great. We had Jamie, Keith and the kids here for 2 weeks. It's always good to have them home. I look forward to the day when maybe they aren't so far away and a visit is not such a task.

Settin' up the tree.

Austin hanging the lower branches.

Lane trimmin'.

Our two missionary snowmen.

Sittin' on Santa's lap.

Austin, too. Looks pretty serious.

Conner has a little ham in him, too.

Wayne, Debbie, Deslie, Randi, Jordan and Travis came over on Christmas Eve and played The Great Dalmutie. (don't know how to spell it). Teri, Greg, Blair, Derrick, Alisha and Clint came by, too, but they weren't here for the big game.

Dad was it the grand master or 1st Great Dalmutie.

Notice the crown.

Santa came by.

Ryan called and it was so good to hear his voice. We talked for about an hour. Heck, it takes that long just to say hi with our family. He is doing great and really loves his mission. He tells us New York is the greatest. He is still in Harlem and lives above some famous "Sylvia's" restaurant. I had never heard of it until one day we had the television on and heard that Caroline Kennedy was eating there while she was still considering the open Senate seat. Don't really care about the Kennedy so much as it was neat to hear the name of the restaurant where Ryan lives. We have noticed that our ears perk up a bit when we hear the words "New York" anymore.

New Year's Eve brought Lane's 14th birthday and new goals and me being able to say "My kids will be home from their missions next year."

That was a pretty good Christmas Eve. Dad wearing that crown still cracks me up. Fun times.
